Operation
Now you can operate the SS1200 or SS2400 donut machine in
the open without hoods or ventilation! The Downdraft System
was designed for use in sites where odor control is
required: malls, convention centers, retail stores. The
system includes a built-in automatic fire extinguishing
system.
How the Downdraft System
Works
Cooking odors are drawn through an intake housing and
pass through two baffle filters. Any excess oil is collected
and drained into a collector. The air then passes through
two special carbonized filtration pads which remove any oil
vapor and approximately 95% of cooking odors. The next step
is the final filter bed, where the air is passed through six
activated carbon pads. Finally, any trace odors are removed
with an activated carbon bed before being exhausted to the
floor.
