Lil' Orbits Passes Presidential Taste Test
Some time ago, long-time operator Sue Gordon was working an event at a convention center in Rancho Mirage, California. A breakfast meeting was about to begin that featured such prestigious speakers as Bill Gates of Microsoft, House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former President George Bush.

At around 8:25 am, as Gordon recalled precisely, George Bush waited patiently for the first batch of donuts to flip out of the machine. Bush bought a bag before giving his speech to the industry executives.
After Bush's speech, scores of attendees
streamed out of the hall and congregated in front of Gordon's
mini-donut stand to buy their own bags of mini-donuts.
Apparently, George Bush had commented to his audience at the start of
the speech, "Let's go out and take their donut machine." And to the
people who ate his table, Bush said, "...got to get more of these
mini-donuts." The former President's enthusiastic comments really
perked up Gordon's business that morning. No word yet from Barbara
Bush requesting our Lil' Orbits secret recipe.
