This note and pictures were just received from Hershel & Sherry Jones, and we quote verbatim:

"For years my husband and I talked about finding a small part-time business thatwe could own and operate. We were specifically looking for something thatwould fit into our schedule, require a relatively small investment, provide a goodreturn, and be fun to do. Once we were introduced to Lil' Orbits Donuts, weknew we were hooked! The operation is fun and it's a product that we are proud to serve.

We live in a university town (Arkansas State University) and thought that hometown football and basketball games would be a perfect venue for Lil' Orbits.Additionally, ASU has a large indoor arena on campus that is host to concerts, rodeos, sports shows, etc. We felt these events would generate the high traffic we were looking for.

Fortunately, we landed the contract with ASU, and began selling donuts almost immediately after receiving our equipment. The instructions and guidance given to us by Bonnie and the rest of the Lil' Orbit's staff made it easy to get started.

Football season was great; many games we used extra help to serve the steady line of customers. Our only complaint - we wish there had been more home games! We are now well into Basketball season and the community is beginning to become familiar (and somewhat addicted) with Lil' Orbits Donuts. Not a game goes by that someone doesn't ask where our shop in located in Jonesboro.

We have also experimented with a few different types of venues. For example, we took our operation to a major arts and crafts show in our state this past fall. The outdoor event turned out to be very profitable; plus we loved meeting other concessionaires from different states. We would definitely like to do more traveling, taking our donut machine "on the road". Another experiment we tried and liked very much was setting up for 2 weeks at a local Haunted House this past October.

We are still pretty new at this, but so far we have had lots of fun and new experiences. We are always looking for opportunities to sell our donuts, and hope that we can add a second machine soon. There have been several occasions when we had to choose one event over another, simply because we couldn't be at two places at once! A second machine will give us much more flexibility.

We have put in a lot of hard work getting our operation successfully off the ground, but it has absolutely been worth it. We love Lil' Orbits!"
